In an interview with Anadolu Agency the director of Ataa Vocational Training Center Mahmoud Al Qaddour said they graduated 452 trainees since the center opened in 2020
He explained that they focus on selecting youth aged between 18 and 30 years and each training program lasts 100 hours according to high quality standards
He added that the professions in the center are chosen to combat unemployment in the region and meet market needs
He pointed out that many young people who could not complete their education due to the civil war became unemployed

The center tries to provide the necessary tools for youth to take the right steps in life through the professions acquired at the training center according to Al Qaddour
He explained that the center offers youth the chance to find work that matches market requirements which enables them to achieve their dreams and improve their living conditions sustainably

The young man Hussein Mohsen who was displaced by the regime from Al Ghab plain in central Syria in 2019 was able to work in different sectors after receiving training in mobile phone repair at the center
Working for Mohsen was a glimpse of hope to support himself and his family and open a shop for phone repair after completing a six month course lasting six hours daily
He told Anadolu Agency that he worked in different sectors for six months to support his family when he first arrived in Atma Idlib
He added that he registered for the courses offered by Ataa Vocational Training Center when he heard about them
He continued I faced several difficulties at first but I persisted and achieved what I wanted and now I run my own work
He added that despite the difficult conditions he is able to earn his daily living
Ataa Humanitarian Relief Association works for the needy in Syria in five main areas shelter food education health and seasonal projects since 2013
The association adopts humanitarian work principles and runs its programs from offices in Syria and Turkey
